Weekly Photo Challenge: Numbers

As grown-ups, we pretty much shun numbers as we age.  I mean, who wants to admit to turning one number higher even though the alternative isn’t a desirable option?

But turning seven?  Well, that’s another story!

Lighting the candles -- age 7.

Ready to blow 'em out.

Thanks so much, Miriam. I’ve found that adorable pics of children and puppies are hard to resist! Hope your summer is going well.

Indeed they are hard to resist. As for summer, I wish … we’ve just started winter here in Australia 🙁

She means the world to me, and I love taking pictures of her. But actually this one was in response to a challenge in my photography class: take a shot in a dark room with a single light. Although the instructor never fully acknowledged this, I think I nailed it!! 🙂

She really is! I don’t know how much longer we can keep her ecstatic about birthdays with the family, but right now, we’re enjoying every moment! Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks so much for joining us in this birthday celebration! We make a big deal out of each family member’s birthday, although it’s only dinner and a cake afterwards. But it means a lot just to have us together! Best wishes for a great summer!

Thanks, Amy. We love having her nearby so we can spend time with her. But she’s growing up way too fast!

Thanks so much! We’re prejudiced, of course. But we think she’s pretty special, too!

Love it! She’s so cute!! I’m still thinking about what I might use for this challenge. We’ll see if I find anything that catches my eye.
