Headed to a Down East adventure!

We’re leaving soon for several days in Maine — a Down East autumn adventure that will take us up Route 1 along the coast and into the interior.  We’re ready for leaf peeping, a little hiking, and a lot of sightseeing from Mount Battie to the Fryeburg Fair.  Our goal?  Post pics of clapboard houses, boats in harbors, and trees decked out in glorious fall attire.  Here’s hoping you want to go along with us, too.  See you in Maine!

Hey! I’m looking forward to seeing that. We’re heading east, too. From South Australia, that will take us to cooler climate and, being Spring here, to a tulip festival in Victoria. Waterfalls, rainforest, hot spas… A packed few days in term break!

    • You are so lucky to see this part of the world. Would love to visit Australia. Hoping to post some photos of Maine — but I hate to sit at a computer when there’s so much to explore. Will find a balance somehow!

Enjoy. We are heading for Knoxville but the way we loop around, it will be another week before we reach it.

    • Hope you have a wonderful time in Knoxville. Our downtown area is abloom with many new restaurants, places to visit and stay. And when you get here, our trees just may offer you a glimpse of fall color. Enjoy!
