We can’t resist a great reflection — whether it be in person or in a picture that we or someone else has taken. With that in mind, Jez (of Photos by Jez) invites us this week to share reflections or doubles we’ve seen, so here are a few that bring back good memories — a double treat, if you will!
New York City

Chicago
In Chicago, all-glass skyscrapers act as mirrors to other buildings nearby, causing us to “see double” from an architecture tour boat.

Kinderdijk
In Kinderdijk, Netherlands, windmills make you see double, especially if you’re standing on the bridge that crosses over to the mainland.

Sahara
In the Sahara, afternoon sun made us see double as we stood tall on the Sahara Desert.

Provence

Bruges, Belgium
Seeing double: bears on a couch welcome guests to Hotel Heritage in Bruges.

In this photo at the top, this white arching bridge in Maine has been making tourists see double for years!
And this little quote made us think about something we love to see in duplicate, triplicate, etc.: friendship.
Friendship doubles your joys and divides your sorrows.

Fantastic photos.

Superb post for the challenge, Rusha 👏 The urban reflections are amazing, as well as the header image of the bridge 😃 But, you just can’t beat two teddy bears greeting you at a hotel 😁
Oh, the Places We See
We loved those teddies as well. And this was a pretty swanky hotel! I didn’t expect those bears at all!
Amy
Excellent selection, Rusha! Reflections are beautifully captured. Love the flying angel. The white bridge, breathtaking…
Oh, the Places We See
Thanks so much, Amy. This was a fun challenge!

Great photos. I love the photos from New York especially the sea-like mannequin and the long shadows late in the day from the Sahara. Shadows are fun to photograph.
Oh, the Places We See
We were enthralled with those unexpected reflections in the NYC windows. An added treat to an already overloaded weekend in the city. Thanks for your comment.
Wandering Dawgs
Wow! These are stunning! The windmill is my favorite.
Oh, the Places We See
It’s mine as well. What a pretty place!

Lovely collection of pictures for the challenge. I’m with you, it’s hard to resist a good reflection. I especially loved the first image of the white house and bridge.
Oh, the Places We See
I love that Maine bridge. Saw it years ago and never forgot getting out of the car, almost getting muddy and wet but worth it! Thanks for taking a look.

Marvelous as always Rusha – I think I have that exact image of the white bridge LOL. Loved the flying angel in NYC and the two little bears especially
Oh, the Places We See
And if you ever get to Bruges, treat yourself to Hotel Heritage. First class accommodations and delicious, beautifully laid out breakfast. A great trip!
Sue
I love those red doors, but altogether you have some great selections
Oh, the Places We See
I love lots of doors and windows, and this one just caught my eye. I may have to frame it for my house!
Sue
Why not?!!
