Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #207: Seeing Double

We can’t resist a great reflection — whether it be in person or in a picture that we or someone else has taken. With that in mind, Jez (of Photos by Jez) invites us this week to share reflections or doubles we’ve seen, so here are a few that bring back good memories — a double treat, if you will!

New York City

This mannequin looks assertive and poised as she "walks" toward the crowd in a window at Saks Fifth Avenue. The flags are reflections from the building across the street.

Chicago

In Chicago, all-glass skyscrapers act as mirrors to other buildings nearby, causing us to “see double” from an architecture tour boat.

Kinderdijk

In Kinderdijk, Netherlands, windmills make you see double, especially if you’re standing on the bridge that crosses over to the mainland.

Sahara

In the Sahara, afternoon sun made us see double as we stood tall on the Sahara Desert.

Provence

Two red doors caught our attention in a little town in Provence.

Bruges, Belgium

In this photo at the top, this white arching bridge in Maine has been making tourists see double for years!

And this little quote made us think about something we love to see in duplicate, triplicate, etc.: friendship.

Friendship doubles your joys and divides your sorrows.

Superb post for the challenge, Rusha 👏 The urban reflections are amazing, as well as the header image of the bridge 😃 But, you just can’t beat two teddy bears greeting you at a hotel 😁

  2. Amy

Excellent selection, Rusha! Reflections are beautifully captured. Love the flying angel. The white bridge, breathtaking…

Great photos. I love the photos from New York especially the sea-like mannequin and the long shadows late in the day from the Sahara. Shadows are fun to photograph.

  4. Tina Schell

Marvelous as always Rusha – I think I have that exact image of the white bridge LOL. Loved the flying angel in NYC and the two little bears especially
