Oh, how we’d love to see this face again!

A few quotes from Groucho Marx (1890 – 1977), star of musical comedies I’ll Say She Is, The Cocoanuts, and Animal Crackers, but perhaps best known for his comedy quiz show, You Bet Your Life.

  • Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.
  • Behind every successful man is a woman, behind her is his wife.
  • I never forget a face, but in your case I’ll be glad to make an exception.

great post and quotes. I was a fan of him, too. He was so intelligent and funny (a good combination, but quite rare) And I remember he once said, that he would never enter a club that would take him up as a member.

Some true classics! Loved your choice this week.

    • Thanks so much! I was searching through my pics for something, and this just popped out. I love these disguises, but I especially loved Groucho Marx (I’m old enough to remember seeing him on TV!). Thanks for your comment.
