Oh, how we’d love to see this face again!

A Groucho Marx dress-up kit found in a store in Asheville, NC.
A few quotes from Groucho Marx (1890 – 1977), star of musical comedies I’ll Say She Is, The Cocoanuts, and Animal Crackers, but perhaps best known for his comedy quiz show, You Bet Your Life.
- Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.
- Behind every successful man is a woman, behind her is his wife.
- I never forget a face, but in your case I’ll be glad to make an exception.

Remember the duck that would fall out of the ceiling when the guest said the magic word! One of my all time favorite comedians. –Curt
Oh, the Places We See
Oh, my gosh . . . Yes! Loved that duck. And the show. And Marx!

great post and quotes. I was a fan of him, too. He was so intelligent and funny (a good combination, but quite rare) And I remember he once said, that he would never enter a club that would take him up as a member.
Oh, the Places We See
Thanks for commenting. We both laughed when we saw this “costume” of Marx — would be fun to imitate him!!

Oh, the Places We See
Thanks so much! I was searching through my pics for something, and this just popped out. I love these disguises, but I especially loved Groucho Marx (I’m old enough to remember seeing him on TV!). Thanks for your comment.
