Travel theme: Birds

When Ailsa of Where’s My Backpack? posted this week’s travel theme, I knew I was in trouble.  The title of the challenge is Travel theme: Birds, and I rarely photograph our feathered friends.  I guess I could point my camera outside the screened-in porch and capture a towhie or cardinal in the birdbath, but then you’d have to endure the screening across the picture!  And I never seem to be in the right place at the right time to catch a bird in flight.  Not that I don’t want to.

But since I’ve been busily trying to build boards on Pinterest, I ran across several bird paintings like this one entitled Wren Painting Bird Art on the Art board of Melissa Gill. You can purchase it from Etsy on a site called SplodgePodge.

Quite lovely, don’t you think?
