Perhaps it happens to all of us, but today as I was driving to work, I saw something that compelled me to pull over, grab my camera, and snap away. The morning sun (perhaps stronger now after the time change) streamed across the lawn of Graystone Presbyterian Church in South Knoxville. In those few brief moments in the early light, I had the sense that this — autumn’s last glow — is truly a gift for all to enjoy.
Later on in the afternoon while walking along Cherokee Boulevard in West Knoxville, I was rewarded a second time as late-day sun cast a softer glow, transposing those last yellows into warm oranges.

Great, colorful photos Rusha. Our deciduous trees are pretty much at their peak here on St. Simons. Nothing like these colorful beauties, but it’s a nice change for us. Have a fun and decadent Thanksgiving! ~James
Oh, the Places We See
The color is now gone here, too. Winter weather has settled in, so who knows when I’ll get outside to hang the greenery!! But I love living where we have 4 distinct seasons — If winter comes, can spring be far behind? Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

I like 4 seasons as well Rusha, and none of them too long or harsh. That was one of the things I always enjoyed about living in KY. ~James

So stunning. We don’t get colours like that where I live. I have to travel south or to a botanical garden to find autumn colours.
Oh, the Places We See
I’m not sure why I’m just now seeing your comment, but please know that I appreciate it. You are so right about the colors — we are fortunate to see the beauty of all seasons. Right now, however, the trees are brown and not so pretty. But they’ll come to life around March — we just have to wait!

The color of the atmosphere this time of year really does mesmerize me. I am so glad you hoisted out your gear and got these pics, Rusha!

Ya know. When ya gotta stop, ya gotta stop! (And it’s easier when I’m by myself rather than trying to talk my husband into stopping!!!)

Just beautiful, one of the most lovely colors of fall without which all the other colors would not be so outstanding. You’re very gifted in the photography department, see your putting that camera to good use 🙂 🙂

Thanks so much. If you had been here, I’d have taken you for a walk with me! Appreciate your comments!
