Discover Prompt 8: Curve

In life, as in art, the beautiful moves in curves.

Curves are natural. Curves are graceful. And curves pull us in to places so we can get a closer look or experience what’s around the bend.

Curves, however, aren’t always desirable. During this time of CoVid-19, we’re all trying to #flatten the curve, to avoid what might be inevitable if we don’t distance ourselves from others. The curve is not our friend.

Curves, as it happens, often come back near the starting point. They roll upward or forward only to return to a different place but quite near the one where it all began.

As life throws us curves, we may not even be able to see past the starting point. But we just might follow that curve anyway. To see where it goes. To see how high it goes. And to see if we want to move with the curve or against it.

Because we have the option of curving, too.

I thought my favorite was the shells,….and then I got to ‘walking the curved boardwalk.” And that one made me say “OHHHHHH” out loud. šŸ™‚

      1. Oh, the Places We See

Love that phrase — great indoors. But it’s warm and sunny here now during the days with cool mornings and evening flanking the sunshine. I get out some to walk, but that’s about all since we are “sheltering in place.” Stay safe.
