Postcards from England: Christmas 2016 — Boots by the Door

Pretty doorway in the Cotswolds -- with boots!

Pretty doorway in the Cotswolds — with boots!

Dear Readers,

We think doors in the Cotswolds just ooze charm.  Maybe it’s because they’re shorter than ours in the States.  Maybe it’s because the hold wreaths or garlands or signs of the season. You may be looking at this one saying, “That one’s pretty ordinary.”  And maybe it is.  But this door had us grabbing the camera.  It’s the little things, right?

You’re right about the doors, but I’d say that all of the Cotswold’s houses ooze charm. It’s an absolutely fantastic area.
    Have a great weekend,

Pit, you are so right. We found every little village to be charming — and I really would love to stay for a month or so, especially if we felt more comfortable about driving there! Best wishes for happy holidays!
