Weekly Photo Challenge: Morning

This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge by The Daily Post at WordPress focuses on the word Morning with a bonus if we share something other than the usual sunrise photo.  Now, for me, there’s nothing ordinary about a sunrise since it’s only during my vacation that I rise to greet Mr. Sun in such fine fashion.  But still, here’s what I saw at Pawleys Island when I turned away from the ocean to see the reflection of yellow morning sun on one of my favorite old houses on the beach: Maurice Cottage.

But just in case you still like seeing one more sunrise, here are my two favorite photos from Summer 2016!

Thanks for traveling with us.  We feel blessed to just to be able to get up and about each morning!  –Bert and Rusha

Great sunrise photos Rusha. After my years of living at the beach, I know how difficult good sun shots are to get. And your photos remind me of one of the reasons I spent all those years living on the coast: early mornings at the beach. There are few things more pleasant than a morning alone on a deserted beach. Thanks for the reminder. ~James

I love getting up at the crack of dawn — well, about 6:00 a.m. this summer — to catch the sunrise. But you could see me armed with my camera and a hot cup of coffee sitting on at jetty almost every day. I love being alone at the beach in the morning — lots of reflection time!!! Thanks for taking a look.

Linda, you feel the same way I do. As many times as I have gone to that same spot on that beach, I still get up, head down there with my camera, and take pictures. Even though I’ve seen the sun rise many times, I still enjoy it. Hope your summer is going great!

Isn’t that the truth? We’ve been going there for approximately 30 years ago, and we say to ourselves often, “Why didn’t we buy there before prices skyrocketed?” I guess if you think a location is going to hold its value, you need to put your money where your mouth is!

The light at the beginning and ending of the day is always special. The cottage would have a totally different look without the early morning sun. As for the other two photos: beautiful. –Curt

The fencepost one is my fave, too. And would you believe those are snow fences? At least that’s what they’re called in one realtor’s book. Maybe they should change the name to “sand fences.”

Good question, but I don’t know. We’re deep into this condo complex of ours and rarely see sunrises or sunsets. The beach is our one escape with a panorama of God’s handiwork! Thanks for taking a look.

The Windows on the cottage are so interesting with the morning light – but the looking thru the fences photo is a fav here – the angle – the color – the Beach.

    And good morning

Thanks so much. You’re up awfully early this morning on the Internet. But so am I. Maybe a shot of my messy desk and me in my pajamas would be more suitable for a typical morning at home!!!

Ha! You are so funny and I hope someone posts pjs! And yes- I have a few very early mornings – get some stuff done that way – but I also nap and well – sometimes I will use a late night to tackle stuff – just depends –
Anyhow – hope you have a nice day (morning – noon and night) peace
