Amy chose Keep Walking as this week’s photo challenge topic, and if you head to her site, you’ll see interesting paths from all over the world — like the military personnel (pictured above) we found walking stoically through Bangkok, aware of their surroundings and wearing their business faces.
Traveling for us sometimes involves strolling, sometimes stop-and-start walking, but other times lengthening our strides just to catch up with our tour group. We’ve walked past historic homes, busy waterfronts, castles, forts, oceans, gardens, and forests. And what we’ve found is this: There’s something interesting around every corner, every bend. You just have to keep moving to find it.
In Tangier, two little boys in blue jogging suits emerge from the alleyway walking side by side.
With high hopes for finding Pawleys Island shells, two early-morning walkers shuffle through the sand on the North End .
Ladies juggling coffee mugs and leashes greet the morning while walking their dogs on a scenic street in Savannah.
Long, winding walkways make exploring the Grasslands in South Dakota quite the pleasure.
And it happens all over the world: walking and texting is a way of life, even at Angkor Wat in Cambodia!
After a day’s walk, everything has twice its usual value.

I’m rarely appalled at cell phone usage anymore, and maybe that’s what the world is waiting for: acceptance of the new social media practices. I think I’m sounding old now!

… just have to keep moving to find it, I agree. You have walked through many beautiful places and found interesting, fun things to share. I love these two boy walk side by side. The long, winding walkways is quite beautiful. But, texting while walking through Angkor Wat… I hope she didn’t miss the scene!
