Done: NaBloPoMo 2013! 30 posts, 30 days!

sunrise at The Palouse

When I first read of the National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) challenge of writing one blog per day, I wasn’t sure I could keep up the pace.  But I did, and I’m better for it.

The positives of writing every day outweigh the negatives, although I would be remiss if I didn’t admit to feeling a sense of dread at times as I sat down to write at the computer each day.  But the outcomes have been quite interesting!

  • The blog stats have more than doubled this month compared to those of other months.
  • I’ve encountered many new blogs to which I now subscribe.
  • The range of topics has encompassed places I’ve seen with Bert far and near! It’s safe to say that writing each day made us reach into Idaho, China, Tennessee and other places, too!

Just for the record, the posts receiving the most “views” were 1) Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop: New sweet shop in Bearden, 2) Jack Daniel Distillery: Quality processing right here in Tennessee, and 3) Tennessee Walking Horses: Elegance in motion.  From those stats, we’ve realized that readers really want more from what we see close to home.

Thanks to all of you who have read, commented, and viewed.  You are definitely appreciated, since you are what keeps us thinking about our travels and sharing our pictures. In case you missed any of the posts, here they are one more time.

Congratulations! You did it. (I didn’t. Wow, every day?? But you have gained something from the exercise!)

    • Rusha Sams says:

You’re right! I’ve gained something. But I’m not motivated to write much in December! Is there such a thing as Blogging Burn-out? Thanks for reading & commenting!

  2. annetbell says:

Way to go my friend! Keep up the good work! Namaste . . . .

  3. cmmoxley says:

Hats off to you, friend! A good piece of advice I received recently: Want more hits on your blog? Blog more often! So you definitely are doing the right thing. I just can’t find the time during some months to do more than one a week. But trying. Again, congrats!

    • Rusha Sams says:

Thanks for your comment. Blogging each day was a stretch, but I’m glad I took the challenge. May have to take December off! Always LOVE your blog — I get to keep up with Knoxville through you.

  4. Sue (Mac's Girl) says:

    Well done, Rusha!

  5. Valentina says:

Very nice achievement Rusha. I am also taking a challenge on the subject of Home from A to Z to complete in a year time. Blogging is getting tougher, as my work is very busy especially this time of the year, but I think I will make it.

    • Rusha Sams says:

So glad you are in demand. It’s nice to know you have so much to offer so many! Best wishes for a great December, and thanks for commenting!

  6. Amy says:

    Wonderful achievement, Rusha!
