Maine’s got curves and rounds, so we’re sharing a few for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Rounded.

And who doesn’t love those round Whoopie Pies that make us all a little rounder? From Making Smiles in Boothbay Harbor.

I was just thinking of whipping up some whoopie pies….old style like Grandpa used to make. I was born in Maine. Casco Bay is about the only thing that lure me from my Great Lakes. 🙂
Thanks for this post.
Would love a return trip with a stop in Casco Bay. There’s still a whole lot of Maine we haven’t seen, but we can say we’ve eaten a whoopie pie! Thanks for taking a look.
All the photos made me smile 🙂
Well, that’s the best compliment I can get! Thanks so much. And have a happy day.
So cute! Loved your entry for this week’s theme. 🙂
Thanks! We’re having fun in Maine. In fact, I saved some shots of funny signs for a future post. Hope you’re having a great week so far.

Whoopie Pies, very cool! 🙂
We’ve had a couple. Not a favorite but yummy. When in Maine, I guess!
All wonderful examples but he whoopee pies – OH MY!!!!
I guess the Maine tourist industry has figured out how to capitalize on these. We saw so many in stores, and not just in cafes and bakeries. They were packaged so you could take them home on the airplane, too. Here’s hoping you’re having a great fall so far.

Beautiful pumpkins, Rusha, and appropriate for the season. I don’t think I have ever eaten a “Whoopie pie.” They look sinful. 🙂 –Curt
They’re quite gooey, actually. We tried one a great little bakery — it was made of two rounds of pumpkin cake with “real cream cheese filling — not the old Crisco kind,” according to the baker. And I must say it was delicious, but I could only eat half. Too much makin’ whoopie for me.
And the muffins in your header…rounded too!
Those blueberry muffins had just come out of the oven, and the owner of the little corner cafe in Castine put them out in the pan they were baked in. If you don’t think that’s a selling point, think again. We grabbed up an extra hot one on the way out!
Whoopi pies! Are they real? As in edible?
Curves are the greatest gift.
Well said. Thanks for taking a look!
such fun photos! love those whoopie pies!
As you may have guessed, we loved those whoopie pies, too. And those blueberry muffins and chocolate lobsters and gummy moose . . .
I want to bake whoopie pies now! lol
