Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree

I wish I could say my last two weeks have been carefree, but, alas, the new school year has moved in with a vengeance! Here’s to more posts coming up soon!

The Weekly Photo Challenge this week focuses on the word carefree, so I immediately thought of the last pictures I had downloaded from a carefree week at Pawleys Island, SC. Each July — the last week of the month —  we kick back, walk the beach, read books, take naps, and rekindle the friendships we have with the families who return to the same spot, same beach, each year! Ah, the carefree life even if only for a week!

I see these wonderful Carolina shore pictures, so I assume you live in the States. Right? We used to go with family to Emerald Isle…wonderful place. Namaste. . . .

I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, so getting to the beach is a real treat! Wish we lived closer, but maybe the distance is what keeps us interested and excited year after year.

Oh I grew up in VA and my brother practiced medicine for years in Mt City Tennessee! Lovely. I love the ocean but we go to Ocean City or Cape Cod now as we live in Upstate NY now. Namaste

That last shot is my favorite, too! I know the couple. He’s a pediatrician and she’s the best, busiest mom. They made a point of leaving the kids in the house with Grandma each morning so they could have quiet time on the beach. Love that!
