So, RED is one of my go-to colors in scarves, shoes, accessories for the home, flowers in my flowerbeds, etc.  It’s just me.  And on my recent visit to Washington and Idaho, we picked the juiciest, crispest red apples right from the trees!  Wouldn’t you know I’d be drawn to this luscious basket of ripe RED apples as the Hue of Me!

The Palouse is a major agricultural area spanning parts of Washington state and Idaho. With its rolling landscape planted with wheat, barley, quinoa, hay, and legumes, the land beckons us to view it as art: contoured beds of rich golden colors overlapping swirls of freshly tilled rich soil.  Occasionally, weathered red barns nestle into the folds.  And green harvesters roll along pulling their forked metal fingers through the land.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Infinite

Since we were at the beach this week with our family, I watched with interest as our son Jeff created special pancakes for his daughter and a couple of friends who had a sleepover with us.

I realize this is not the Taj Mahal, the Mona Lisa,  or Beethoven’s Fifth, but to a four-year-old, her dad’s morning creations are masterpieces! For little Whitley, this is pancake perfection!
