Great question! This was once called the Gator Bowl, but the TaxSlayer company (a tax preparation software company) now sponsors it and the name was changed. We thought it sounded odd, too! Here’s the link to their company website: http://www.taxslayerbowl.com/

In reply to Amy. There are several oranges out there, for sure. Tennessee folks are particular about their shade of the bright color — and we’re forced to look for just the right orange before purchasing any clothing! Just part of the patron business, I suppose! (Thank goodness I look good in orange!)
