It was truly a respite for us — a getaway in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the medina. But you’d never know it once you got inside the walls of this riad. Oh, to return and see the colors, the exotic touches and yes, those tiles!

I have no idea why I haven’t responded to this post long ago, but I overlooked it somehow. Thanks for taking a look at one of the prettiest places we’ve ever stayed. And, yes, I was relaxed. Somehow, I feel more “away” than just in another country when I travel, and the relaxation is good for my mind and spirit! Great to have you in Morocco with us, if only for a moment!

Rusha, I’ve always loved and admired the natural cooling effect that this type of architecture can produce. The folks that live all around the Mediterranean know a thing or two about how to keep cool, and the ambience inside one of these intimate, quiet, and shady spaces is absolutely fabulous. The first building I ever visited that had this type of courtyard was in Marbella, Spain, and I was hooked. BTW, don’t you look relaxed and at home in that last photo. Nice post. ~James

It really is a quality place to stay. And when I’m traveling in a foreign city, I need all the suggestions I can get for a safe, clean place. This riad was not only safe and clean; it was over the top. So, I can recommend it for anyone venturing into Marrakech. Thanks for taking a look.
