You’re so right, Amy. We were there on a busy touring day in the hot, blazing sun. I envied those who were renting some of the little homes for a few days. I’d love to do that so I could integrate myself into the culture and look out the door at that gorgeous scenery every day!

Although Cinque Terre is almost overrun with tourists, it’s easy to see why so many of us want to go there. The charm of those clustered buildings right next to a blue, blue sea just begs you to take pictures and memories back home!! Hope you get there.

I’ve really taken to photographing doors and shutters lately. Love looking at these humble but necessary openings and wondering who goes in and out, who enjoys the view, etc. Shutters — even the ones in disrepair — are almost art in and of themselves!

We loved those boats and umbrellas, too. In fact, we ate at a restaurant right beside those umbrellas and watched as people swam, toweled off, shared picnics, etc. Just like we do at home!!!
