Although it’s been two years, our memories of the rolling landscapes of the Palouse, the wheat/lentil/quinoa growing region that overlaps the state boundaries of Washington and Idaho, remain vivid even today. It’s pretty any time, but our first impressions were formed in autumn at harvest time when the vast landscape welcomed green tractors to pull in the harvest and plow under the stubble. Oh, to return at that very time!

I’m an Idaho girl! A couple of summers ago, I had the chance to ride some of the huge combines that farm this ground! It was on my bucket list – Palouse farmers are an amazing breed!

You are indeed fortunate! The best I could do was pull over onto someone’s road, hope they didn’t come running out to “git me,” and then snap a picture. I love seeing the combines moving across the landscape, kicking up dust! Thanks for commenting! And, by the way, I worked for a company that sent me to schools in Idaho City, Nampa, and Deary. Loved the people and the state!!!
